Automotive Technician

Blevins Bros. is looking for an automotive technician to join our team.  Previous automotive technician experience in a certified repair shop is required.

 

The qualified candidate will have:

  • A minimum education of H.S. diploma or equivalent
  • Proven track record of success at current/previous employer(s)
  • Valid NYS driver's license
  • Customer-focused attitude that recognizes that giving the customer outstanding service is the main focus of the job

Requirements of this job are:

  • Availability to work full time (40 hours/week) plus overtime as required by business needs
  • Availability to work Saturdays & Sundays as needed
  • Ability to show up on time every day and complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner
  • Ability to complete physical tasks with reasonable accomodation
  • Completion of Chrysler Technician Training after being hired (salary increases are based on achieving training goals)
  • Ability to work as a member of a cohesive team

Typical duties for this position are:

  • Diagnose & repair problems with vehicles including (but not limited to):  electrical systems, engine, transmission, driveline, suspension, brakes, steering, etc.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flush, etc.
  • Troubleshoot complex repair issues with involvement of manager & Chrysler tech support

Pay:

Starting pay varies based on experience and any previous manufacturer certification.  Typical pay is an hourly rate.  Bonuses are typical in the fall/Christmas timeframe.  Other compensation is listed below.

Sales Consultant

Sales consultants work 9 AM to 6 PM each weekday and 9 AM to 3 PM every other Saturday.  Flexibility around those hours is critical in our customer focused environment.  Additional hours may be necessary during peak volume times.

Pay:

Pay is commission-based with a small weekly base salary added.  In general, the base salary represents 20% of the yearly pay.  Yearly pay is highly depended on sales success.

Title Clerk

Specific Duties: (Duties including but not limited to)

·        Maintains customer files

·        Data entry of vehicle sales applications

·        Book vehicles in & out of dealership inventory

·        Maintain New York State Book of Registry

·        Serves customers by answering phones and taking messages as well as answering customer questions

·        Greet customers when they arrive in the showroom

The title clerk is responsible for maintaining paperwork for all inventory (automobiles, campers, boats, ATVs, etc.).  When vehicle arrive to our dealership, the title clerk "books them in".  When they are sold, the title clerk "books them out".  When a sale is made, the title clerk prepares all necessary paperwork.

Service Advisor

The Service Advisor is a leadership role within the service organization.  This position is in charge of scheduling and assigning service work to the technicians, interacting with customers to address repair needs, and billing customers for services performed.  

Key Duties:

Insure customer satisfaction by explaining repairs needed, diagnostic findings, and repairs performed

Manage service schedule for efficient operations

Manage schedule for recon department

Achieve monthly sales goals, per RO margin goals, and technician productivity goals

·         Insure payment (cash, warranty, service contract) for all completed RO's

·         Inventory management

·       ·Schedule and work with customers for both the Auto & Rec service departments

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

·         Attendance-being on time & not missing work days

·         Profitability of Service Department-as measured by various metrics including monthly income statement

·         Efficiency of Technician Staff-as measured by hours billed out vs. hours worked

·         Minimization of Lost Income-collecting full payment for time worked, avoiding downtime of service staff through effective scheduling, billing out reconditioning jobs properly, processing warranty claims properly, etc.

 

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:30 to 5:00 (additional hours as needed)

Starting pay varies based on experience and any previous manufacturer certification.  Typical pay is a salary with possibly monthly bonus for hitting specific objectives.  Additional bonuses are typical in the fall/Christmas timeframe.  Other compensation is listed below.
